Day 17: The First Park Visit — A Quiet Disappointment

At first, I expected something exciting to happen at the lake park.
Maybe because the website described it so nicely — like it was a lively place with people walking around, hidden corners, and maybe even some unexpected encounters.
But reality… was totally different.
When I reached the park, it was completely empty.
No one jogging, no one sitting, no one passing by.
Just quiet pathways and the sound of wind.
I walked around for a while, hoping maybe someone would appear, or something interesting would happen. But nothing did. Every corner looked the same — empty and silent.
And I won’t lie…
I felt disappointed.
It wasn’t the kind of excitement I imagined.
It wasn’t like the website said.
It was just… plain.
After a few rounds of walking, I realised it wasn’t my day.
So I slowly made my way home, feeling a little let down but also telling myself:
“Not every adventure will be exciting… but at least I tried.”
Even though nothing happened, it became part of my journey — a reminder that exploring means accepting both the good moments and the boring ones.
